Radiography

Our clinic is equipped with such modern diagnostic machinery as a panoramic X-ray and intra-oral X-ray; Dental radiographs are commonly called X-Rays. Dentists use radiographs for many reasons: to find hidden dental structures, malignant or benign masses, bone loss, and cavities.

Dental screenings almost always start with a comprehensive X-ray, called a panoramic X-ray. Thus, in addition to the oral examination, we also have the opportunity to examine the invisible details, the areas under the gums, the points between the teeth, and any inflammation.

Get to know dental X-rays!

During the consultation and examination, we take panoramic X-rays or CT/CBCT X-ray images to ensure the health of the teeth and identify any hidden problems in the gums. Dental X-rays (panoramic X-rays) are one of the most important parts of dental screening.

The recommended annual dental screenings allow for the early detection of problems and help maintain oral health. Keep in mind that it makes a difference whether the patient only needs a filling or a complex root canal treatment, which obviously requires a longer treatment. We also provide constructive feedback on the patient's oral hygiene, advising on which toothbrush, toothpaste, mouthwash, and floss to use and which ones to avoid.

Digital panoramic X-rays create two-dimensional images of the entire oral cavity and teeth, allowing both jaws to be displayed on a single image. Today, 3D CT scans are essential for planning dental and oral surgery procedures, whether it is for implant placement, bone grafting, wisdom tooth removal, root canal treatment, or orthodontic treatment.

X-rays help diagnose several issues, including tooth decay, bone loss, infections, abscesses, cysts, and the condition of the teeth, which is essential for planning dental treatments.

Panoramic X-rays show all the teeth and bone structure, while small X-rays show just 1-2 teeth but in much higher detail. Panoramic X-rays are used for general assessments, while small X-rays are used for examining a specific dental problem.
